サムドップジョンガル県：面積—約2,300平方ｋｍ
ブータンの東の国境の町サムドップジョンガルは、インド側からは電化製品や布地等の工業製品が輸入され、ブータン側からはジャガイモやオレンジなどの農産物が輸出されていく、東ブータン一の貿易の町として発展している。標高が低く亜熱帯気候に属し水田が広がるが、町の様子は、ブータンというよりもインドの田舎町に近く、インド人の商人を多く見かける。

…is the Eastern-most prospers town as a base of transit trade between Bhutan and India. Industrial goods such as electric devices and fabrics are imported from India to Bhutan through this town. At the same time, agricultural crops including potatoes and oranges are exported to India from Bhutan via here. There are many Indian merchants around, giving the impression of being in India to the whole town.Due to low altitude, it belongs to subtropical zone, which creates the view of paddy field.
