ガサ県：面積—約4,400平方ｋｍ
ブータンで最も広い面積の中に、北はチベットとの国境に7,000mのヒマラヤの峰々が並ぶ。ブータンで唯一未だ自動車道路が通っていないゾンカックであるが、その分自然環境は素晴らしい。現在タムジまでの自動車道路の工事が行われており、この1、2年で開通する模様。この道路が開通されるとガサ温泉まではティンプから1日でいけることになり、観光客も増えるかなと見込まれる。外国人トレッカーに人気のラヤ村も近くなる。

GASA Dzongkhag (4,400km2 -the largest)
…has spectaculars view of the ranges of the great Himalayas. It is the last dzongkhag, where no motorway can be found, which contributes to the preservation of the beauty of the untouched natural environment.
However, the motorway to TAMGHI is under construction for the moment to be opened in a few years time. This road might push up the number of tourists by connecting Gasa Spa from Thimpu within a day, and providing better access to Raya Village, the famous place among foreign trekkers.
