モンガル県：面積—約1,900平方ｋｍ
モンガルの町は、タシガンへの東西縦貫道とクルテへの南北幹線道路のぶつかる地点に、近代化以降新しく作られた、東ブータンの玄関。この辺りから、日当たりの良い尾根筋に畑と農村が広がる、東ブータンの景観が始まる。グァバ、マンゴウ、サトウキビ等、亜熱帯の作物も作られている。クリ・チュ水力発電所の建設が進んでいる。

MONGAR Dzongkhag (1,900ｋｍ2)
…is now a gateway town towards Eastern part of Bhutan. It is monger town where two roads running through the country from East to West and from North to South meet. The town is relatively new, developed after the modernization process, which has launched in the 1960s.
There is immediate change in landscape from this point; the east has more fields and villages in the sunny slopes in the ridges of the mountains. The warm sunshine grows even subtropical fruits such as guava, mango, and sugar cane. At the moment, Kuri・chu Hydraulic power plant is under construction.
